MOUNT VERNON — Bradley Hinkle was sentenced to six years in prison this morning by Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster.
Hinkle entered a guilty plea to aggravated trafficking of drugs and one count of intimidation of a witness or victim, both third-degree felonies. He is also required to pay a mandatory fine of $5,000. He waived his right to a presentence investigation.
An original charge of illegal manufacture of drugs was dismissed.
Hinkle, 25, Frazeysburg, was indicted in August on two counts of illegal manufacture of drugs. He was accused of aggravated trafficking in drugs for allegedly selling methamphetamine on July 9. Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said Hinkle was also charged with intimidation of a witness or victim for allegedly threatening the life of someone he believed turned him into the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
The KCSO searched two homes on Van Winkle Road on July 14 and seized items commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The investigation concluded Hinkle was “cooking meth” at both locations.
A jury trial was scheduled to start today.
