Singing the ‘Cowboy Way’

A near capacity Memorial Theater audience was schooled Thursday night in the “Cowboy Way” by western music masters Riders in the Sky. The group is perhaps best known for its Grammy Award winning soundtrack for “Toy Story II” and other Pixar Animation classics, which they performed before intermission. The Community Concert Association of Knox County staged the show under the corporate sponsorship of the Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County. The next offering on the schedule will be a Jan. 22, 2011, visit by Quartetto Gelato.  (Sam Barone/Special to the News)
