Cars pulled from water

The first of two vehicles is pulled out of a lake at Foundation Park by employees of Blubaugh Body & Frame on Monday afternoon. Officers from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources used sonar from their boat and located two objects in the water.  (Virgil Shipley)

Apartment catches fire

Coals from a heating stove set fire to the outside of this small apartment this morning at 21599 Coshocton Road. The occupant is Daniel Krownapple, who lives on the property of his grandfather, Ed Krownapple. Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District firefighters doused the minor fire. There is smoke and water damage as well as fire damage to the siding.  (Virgil Shipley)

Tearing down the building

The crew tearing down the old Kresge building are working carefully to take it down a piece at a time. Monday afternoon they were working in the center of the building pulling down the brick walls and removing steel I-beams.  (Virgil Shipley)
