Vigil at King Beach
King Beach in Apple Valley was flooded with people during Thursday night's vigil. Those remembering Tina Herrmann, her son, Kody Maynard; and friend, Stephanie Sprang; and supporting their families lit candles along the shore line of Apple Valley Lake. Search teams deployed
Knox County EMA Director Brian Hess addressed over 300 volunteers who gathered this morning in the cold rain to be assigned to search teams for an extensive organized search which will concentrate on eastern Knox County. The group are searching for any sign of Tina Herrmann, 32, Kody Maynard, 11, and Stephanie Spran, 41 who have been missing since Nov. 10. (Virgil Shipley)

Mystery continues, search expands
The Watercraft Division of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources came to Knox County to help in the search for Stephanie Sprang, Tina Herrmann and Kody Maynard. They divided the Kokosing River into eight section for the search. Searching a portion of the river close to Lower Gambier Road are top, Josh Worwick and Jason Latchic. Worwick said they found nothing to indicate foul play. (Virgil Shipley)


Building nearly down
Dismantling the old Kresge building at the corner of Main and Gambier street continues at a careful pace. This morning workmen had stripped away most of the exterior brick work and removed much of the debris inside. Only the steel I-beams remain to be taken apart. (Virgil Shipley)
