According to Capt. Brian Durbin, the Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District responded to a fire on the porch of the house at 481 King Beach Drive at 11:05 Monday evening.
Durbin said two engines responded to the call.
“As soon as the first engine company got there, they were able to contain it,” Durbin said. A single hoseline was used to fight the fire, which Durbin said involved only items burning on the porch. Firefighters were clear of the scene by 12:30 this morning.
Durbin said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office was also on the scene.
