Crash into a power pole

“He was very fortunate,” is how Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Keith Cross described this crash into a power pole Saturday at 12:10 p.m. Billie King, 74, Mount Vernon, was westbound on New Delaware Road when his pickup ran off the right side of the road and broke off a Consolidated Electric pole. King’s pickup stopped several hundred feet past the pole. He was not injured but was charged with failure to control.   (Virgil Shipley)
