  • Gambier council sets temporary appropriations

GAMBIER — Gambier Village Council approved temporary appropriations for 2011 at its meeting Monday night. This measure will cover village expenses for January and February before the 2011 budget is approved.

Council also approved a third reading to amend ordinance 2008-02 adopting a formal lift station policy. Council then passed the ordinance.

A third reading to amend ordinance 2002-04 to regulate parking in the village was approved and council passed the ordinance.

The new regulation will designate eight parking spaces on Brooklyn Street for clients of Campus Auto.

A first reading on an ordinance adding a handicap parking space on Gaskin Avenue was approved.

In his report to council Mayor Kirk Emmert commended the work of Gambier deputies Denny Phillips and Aaron Phillips.
