The East Knox Lions Club recently put some of their fundraising money to good use. A $500 check was presented Monday to the Winter Sanctuary program at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to help aid in the church’s homeless shelter program. The Winter Sanctuary has been open since Nov. 8 and houses women and children at the Parish House and men in the church basement on an emergency basis. Pictured are, from left, St. Paul’s Priest Karl Stevens, Winter Sanctuary volunteer coordinator Sally Parsons and East Knox Lions Club Vice President Jerry Lindstrom.
