Betty Wertz, 82, Mount Vernon, was not injured when her car slammed into this driveway retaining wall Wednesday at 4:14 p.m. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said she was eastbound on Ohio 229, just east of Mount Vernon, when she lost control of her car. She was charged with failure to maintain reasonable control.
