MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Middle School principal Bill White will be retiring at the end of this school year. The school board granted his retirement request at Monday’s board meeting.

White has been an educator for 30 years and served as the MVMS principal for the past four years. He said he will miss being a principal, but is looking forward to “the start of something new.”

His first priority, he said, is to spend more quality time “being dad” to his son, Christian.

White said he will also be finishing up his doctoral dissertation in pursuit of an advanced degree in organizational leadership.
