MOUNT VERNON — The crosswalk light that was knocked down by a pickup truck Thursday afternoon on South Main Street at Mount Vernon Avenue will be replaced in a week to 10 days according to Safety-Service Director Dave Glass.

The light will also be upgraded. Glass said there will be five lights, including a new turn arrow. The Street Department will handle the work. Glass added the driver’s insurance company will pay for the cost of the replacement.
