DANVILLE — Danville Village Council had a light agenda when it met Monday.

Two ordinances were brought to the table. A second reading was given on an ordinance amending the inoperable vehicle ordinance, while a first reading was given on an ordinance that would adopt American Legal Publishing’s Ohio Basic Code, 2011 edition, as the code of ordinances for the village. Mayor Bob Dile said the solicitor and police chief will review the code prior to the third reading and vote.

The proposed salary for the zoning enforcement officer was also brought to the table. Councilwoman Jill Byers asked council to check into salaries for other officers in the area before making a decision. The rest of council agreed and the topic will be brought up at a later meeting.

Council changed the date of its second meeting in February. Because the Presidents Day holiday falls on a normal meeting night, council moved the meeting to Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m.
