UTICA — The North Fork Board of Education has announced the details of the financial recovery plan approved at Monday’s special board meeting. The board created a district recovery plan outlining almost $2.5 million in cuts.

“That plan,” said Superintendent Scott Hartley, “would represent the loss of federal stabilization and stimulus monies, and state funding reductions of almost 20 percent. The plan covers, hopefully, the worst case scenarios for the district and has the flexibility to draw down the amount if things start to look better financially.”
