MOUNT VERNON — A court date for John Freeman, Newcastle Road, has been set.

He was arraigned Dec. 14 and pleaded not guilty through his attorney James Giles to charges of inducing panic.

Freeman requested a jury trial which is scheduled for Feb. 20 in Mount Vernon Municipal Court.

He was arrested Dec. 12 after allegedly threatening to shoot Kenyon College students.

Freeman allegedly made the threats on Feb. 11 while at a Gambier bar.
