Reading the Torah
Jewish Chaplain Marc Bragin, left, from Kenyon College, shares a Torah with sixth-grade students at the Mount Vernon Middle School. The Torah was hidden during the Holocaust by a Catholic priest in the Ukraine and was brought to Kenyon in 2007. In this photo, Chaplain Bragin is showing the students how the Torah is read from right to left as Ben Delph holds the Torah open for the presentation. The presentation was used as a means to enrich the study of comparative religions which is part of the state standards for sixth-grade social studies. (Submitted photo)
