FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown Village Council members approved two ordinances when they met in regular session Monday evening at the Fredericktown Municipal Building.

Approved first was an ordinance to renew a contract for gas aggregation. Volunteer Energy was approved on a two-year contract as the gas supplier for the village. Residents of the village have the option of joining in for contracted discount gas rates.

Also approved was an ordinance securing Richland Engineering as the general contractor for the project of water tower construction. Mayor Alan Kintner stated that options are being explored regarding financing, and pursuing any combination of grants and loans. Kintner expects construction on the project to begin in 2012.
