DELAWARE — A reported burglary in progress on County Line Road, west of Centerburg, early Monday morning sent sheriff’s deputies from Delaware and Knox counties racing to the scene.

An offense report, released Wednesday from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, stated the burglary took place at the home of Eric Cellar, 5827 County Line Road. The alarm came at 7:19 a.m., but when deputies arrived at 7:30 a.m. the burglars had fled.

Four tires, an extension cord, and a flashlight were recovered.

Deputies were on the scene two hours investigating the burglary, which remains under investigation.

When the suspect is arrested, he or she could face charges of theft, breaking and entering and use of criminal tools.

Anyone with information on this case should call the DCSO at 740-833-2810.
