FREDERICKTOWN — Joni Rhoads, coordinator of the Education Management Information System for grades nine though 12 at Fredericktown Local Schools, has been commended by the Ohio Association of EMIS Professionals. Rhoads has earned and maintained EMIS certification by participating in many hours of professional development training and by competently completing and successfully submitting all the data required by the state department of education.

Superintendent Jim Peterson said the EMIS work Rhoads does is very important because the data significantly impacts the district’s funding. That data includes achievement test results, Ohio Graduation Test results, attendance for all students, graduation rates, highly qualified teacher information, federal adequate yearly progress and special education student data.

“We appreciate Joni’s efforts,” Peterson said at a recent school board meeting. The board concurred.
