FREDERICKTOWN — After presenting the proposed appropriations for 2011 to the Fredericktown Village Council, Village Administrator Gary Gallogly said the village’s finances look stable.

In preparing to present the annual appropriations, Gallogly said the total proposed appropriations for 2011 are $2,888,757.76. Total funds available to date are $2,940,757.76.

“We try to have all funds with money left at the end of the year,” said Gallogly. “I don’t see any issues at this time. They should all justify.” A first reading was given to a resolution to approve the appropriations.

Council continued discussion regarding the apartment building at First and Main streets, owned by George Small, which suffered a partial roof collapse this past summer. Councilman Floyd Tharp reported that little has happened with the property since then. Gallogly stated that no notice has been sent out regarding the condition of the property. Tharp is to see about having Small and an inspector attend the next council meeting and discuss what might be done with the property.
