MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. today. The crash occurred on Millwood Road, approximately one-half mile east of Hill Road in Howard Township.

Aaron Farmer was driving a white 1995 Ford F-350 crew cab east on Millwood Road and lost control on the slush covered roadway. Farmer’s truck slid off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Farmer was unrestrained in the truck and was partially ejected as the truck rolled over and came to rest on its top.

Farmer was the only occupant in the truck, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County Coroner’s Investigator Linda Green. Alcohol or drug use are unknown factors and the crash remains under investigation.
