NEWARK — The Energy Cooperative has 2,224 members without power in the Mount Vernon, Jelloway and Bladensburg areas. In the Mount Vernon and Jelloway area the outages were caused by a delivery problem with AEP Transmission. The 100 scattered outages in the Bladensburg area are due to weather.

AEP Transmission said that power was restored to Mount Vernon and Jelloway by 8 a.m.

Energy Cooperative customers who are experiencing a power outage and have not reported it, call the outage reporting service at 888-535-5732.
