“It will be a challenge because the budget is always a concern,” Hebenthal said. “I appreciate the board giving me the chance and I am looking forward to it.”
Before Hebenthal came to Centerburg as middle school principal at the start of the 2004-05 school year, he most recently served as a science, chemistry and physics teacher at Garaway Local Schools in Sugarcreek. He started his duties as Centerburg’s grades 6-12 principal this school year.
Hebenthal’s undergraduate work was completed at Youngstown State University. He earned his master’s degree from Akron University and received administrator credentials through Ashland University.
He and his wife, Janine, have four children; David, Kathryn, Daniel and Hannah.
