Spring cleaning

The weather was nice Friday afternoon and Sue Steele, on Mount Vernon’s east side, was taking advantage of it. In addition the the pile of limbs in the foreground, brought down by high winds, Steele cleared her yard of leaves and other items.  (Virgil Shipley)

City recovering from potholes, flooding

The city has fenced off parts of the levees in Foundation and Memorial parks. The city will remove the fences after the levees are repaired.  (George Breithaupt)

Despite turnover, MV boys volleyball just keeps going
