Chuck Martin
MOUNT VERNON — Kay Culbertson, publisher of the Mount Vernon News has announced the addition of Chuck Martin to the editorial department as a staff reporter.
Martin brings over 30 years of experience as a journalist. He started his career with the Zanesville Times Recorder where he honed his skills covering city government, education, agriculture and politics. For 10 of those 30 years, he served as the paper’s city editor where he was responsible for assignments, copy editing and page layout, among other duties.
“We are very excited to have someone with Chuck’s many years of journalism experience join our staff of writers,” Culbertson said.
An avid fisherman, Martin lives in Newark with his wife, Carolyn. They have one daughter, Lindsey, who is a student at The Ohio State University in Columbus.
