DANVILLE — A 62-year-old man suffered a head injury while cutting wood on property at 20050 Shadley Valley Road, east of Jelloway, about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District responded to the scene and called for a medical helicopter. Cleveland Metro medical service at Wooster responsded with a helicopter. According to radio traffic from the department, the helicopter landed on the road close to the incident and flew the man to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

His name, nor condition, could be confirmed at press time Friday night.
