Spring snow

The large wet snowflakes that fell Wednesday afternoon clung to limbs and bushes creating lovely scenes around Knox County. Tree limbs and bushes around the former Beam Home on East High Street, now home of the law firm of Zelkowitz, Barry & Cullers, were heavy with snow in this old-fashioned portrait.  (Virgil Shipley)

Frozen solid

This photo taken Tuesday morning, in addition to the 2 inches of snow that fell in Mount Vernon on Wednesday, are indications that winter is still holding on in cental Ohio. The water fountain in front of the Knox County Career Center is still carrying a good load of ice from the cold nights.  (Virgil Shipley)
