Big move

It was quite a sight, this heating and cooling unit dangling in the air above downtown Mount Vernon, Friday morning. It was a 12,600-pound heating and air conditioning unit being placed on the roof of Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s new school of nursing building. The facility is beside the Buchwald Center that had to be renovated after the Kresge building fire last fall.  (Virgil Shipley)

Smoother rides ahead for city drivers
