MOUNT VERNON — A monthly report for Knox County Animal Control was given by county dog warden Jim St. Clair when he met with the Knox County Commissioners on Monday afternoon.

St. Clair’s report included figures of 22 dogs being adopted in January, 22 in February and 30 in March. The highest number of dogs adopted in one month during 2010 was 25. There are currently two pens open in the isolation side and three overnight drop spaces open.

St. Clair said there were 210 dogs brought in to the shelter during January, February and March.
