MOUNT VERNON — It’s no secret that many Americans love seafood. While there is a large variety of seafood available from area retailers, there is also a vast variety of suppliers ready to meet the demands of the American seafood lover.
Although there are recent reports of a slight resurgence, the United States economy has been slumping for an extended period of time. Many reports claim that the best way to stimulate the economy is to support local businesses. Buying products from American producers and manufacturers remains to be a preferable option in boosting the American economy.
Two local retailers of seafood products, Walmart and Kroger, were recently visited to see just what seafood products they are offering and where they come from.
