MOUNT VERNON — It was a gathering of all the Knox County Granges when county Grange members gathered at Mount Vernon High School for the annual Farm-City Dinner on Monday evening.

All 11 Knox County granges were represented: Wayne, Morgan, Union, Liberty, Pleasant, Berlin, Harrison, Jefferson, Middlebury and Monroe-Dan Emmett, as well as Pomona Grange.

Knox County Grange Deputy Lonnie Totten gave the welcome following presentation of flags and the “Star Spangled Banner” being sung by everyone. The invocation was given by Ohio State Grange Chaplain Les Widder.

A covered dish supper was enjoyed followed by numerous door prizes. Knox County Pomona Master Marie Walker welcomed several guests to the dinner. Guests attending came from Ashland, Stark, Coshocton and Jefferson counties. State Grange Master Gary Brambaugh was attending from Defiance.

Also attending was the 2011 Ohio Grange Young Couple, Sarah and Tommy Howard. The Howards hail from Amity and represent Ohio traveling to numerous Grange events throughout the year.
