DANVILLE — Members of the Danville Village Council touched on several different items during their meeting Monday including parks, paving and proclamations.

Council members passed a motion allowing the T-ball league to use the southeast end of the football field as a diamond this summer. The new field being built by the Danville Little League is not quite ready for the T-ballers, so they had asked council to use part of the football field.

“The kids need a place to play and we have room in our park. It won’t infringe on the football team if they use the field,” said Danville Mayor Bob Dile.

Council also discussed some of the options available for paving streets this year. The primary goal of the village is to pave Rambo Street, and then whatever roads can be done within the budget. Council members also discussed the possibility of replacing street signs, and decided that they could package the signs along with the paving of Rambo to make it a nice street. Council members were to take a look at the different signs available, but decided on blue signs with white letters.
