CENTERBURG — Candy and Don McCracken were surprised to be honored during the Donkey Basketball game sponsored by the Heart of Ohio USA Days festival association on April 21. Association President Jason Rogers presented the McCrackens with a plaque noting “In recognition of your many years of hard work and commitment. Without your continuous service to the Heart of Ohio USA Association it would not be the organization it is today. Thank you.”

Candy has served as a charter member and secretary of the festival since its inception and continues in that capacity as well as being in charge of fundraising, advertising and entertainment. Don served as association president and handles the grounds committee presently. The McCrackens were recognized for their spirit of community service and are busy with plans for the 2011 festival which will be June 22 to 25.
