COLUMBUS — Ann and Dan Trudel, owner’s of Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops, in Fredericktown, were recognized on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives by Rep. Margaret Ann Ruhl with a resolution honoring the business for receiving two 2011 Good Food Awards.
Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops won first place for its entries of Savory Sprout Relish in the pickle category and Jalapeno Raspberry Jam in the preserves category at this year’s Good Food Awards Competition. The business specializes in gourmet jam, jelly, relish, and mustard made from freshly harvested products and is dedicated to the highest ideals of organic farming practices.
“It is my pleasure to honor Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops with this Resolution for its accomplishments,” Ruhl said. “Agriculture is the backbone of this state’s economy, and it is truly encouraging to know that the future of Ohio agriculture lies, to a large extent, in the capable hands of conscientious individuals such as all those associated with Ann’s Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops.”
