CENTERBURG — Organizers of the Heart of Ohio USA Association of Centerburg has announced The British Invasion will once again headline the summer festival on Saturday, June 25, at 8 p.m.

The British Invasion describes a time in the 1960s when audiences all across America were singing and dancing to music from across the Atlantic. It began with the arrival of The Beatles in America in February 1964, and continued for several years as British bands dominated the music scene.

The musical group covers all the music from the English groups, from The Animals to The Zombies, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Hollies, Herman’s Hermits and more.

Other entertainment for Saturday includes a flag-raising ceremony and Centerburg High School band concert at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. the YMCA Rockets Cheer Team will be doing their competitive cheer competition demonstration. Other acts and entertainment are still being planned to fill the afternoon. At 5 p.m., Kokosing River Surf Club will perform hits from Elvis to CCR and more. The third annual Toddler Track Meet will be held on stage at 7 p.m. with a baby crawl and foot races for 1-year-olds and 2-year-olds.

Fireworks will follow the entertainment.
