GAMBIER — The cause of a fire that heavily damaged a large barn at 2337 Horn Road early Sunday morning has been ruled undetermined. An Ohio State Fire Marshall inspector was at the scene Monday checking on the cause of the fire that burned the upper floor and living quarters in the structure owned by William Vance.

Firefighting equipment and firefighters from five departments were able to contain the fire to the upper story. The ground floor which housed dog kennels has significant smoke damage according to the Danville Fire Department.
