MOUNT VERNON — A vocal extravaganza featuring choirs, ensembles and soloists is coming to the Mount Vernon High School theater on Friday and Saturday. May Fiesta is a chance for local high school students to display their singing talents in a fun setting. It is a “high energy fun-cert,” according to choral director Marty Bell, who organizes May Fiesta each year.

With the school year winding down and this year’s seniors catching that dreaded “senioritis,” May Fiesta gives students the opportunity to loosen up and enjoy themselves a bit while providing quality entertainment at the same time.

“You can expect a wide array of music,” said junior Sarah Bertschy. “There will be music from almost every genre including classical, jazz, country, pop, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.”
