MOUNT VERNON — Proposed policies regarding billing policy and procedures, a water and sewer rate structure, and a sanitary sewer use resolution for hamlet projects were discussed when the Knox County Board of Commissioners met with water/wastewater superintendent Jason Figgins on Thursday morning.
Work continues on the installation of new meters for the new Flex-net meter reading system. As two groups have been out working on the installations over the past two weekends, Figgins reported that 1,097 meters out of 2,872 are now installed. “I think we’re on track,” said Figgins, who added he hopes to have the new metering system up and running in July.
