CENTERBURG — A newly modernized convenience store now greets customers when they enter the Centerburg Shell station on East Main Street in Centerburg. Whether you are stopping in to get gasoline, drinks or snacks, or if you are having your automobile repaired, Centerburg Shell now offers top convenience and selection for its customers.

“It was time to redo the store. We wanted to modernize things,” said Wayne Bradley, who owns the Shell station with his wife, Barb. The Bradleys purchased the station in 2000. New gas tanks were installed in 2001 before new blacktop was laid a few years later. Knowing expansion of the convenience store was inevitable, plans for expansion went into the works a few years ago. “We were stressed for space,” said Barb. “We had just really outgrown the old building.”
