FCFD Chief Scott Mast, left, said it is a grass firefighting vehicle with a foam system, 150-gallon water tank, a patient Stokes Basket, 150 feet of hose, and hand tools. Freer, 29, graduated from Fredericktown High School in 2000 and started a firefighting career at the Fredericktown department and worked briefly at the Mount Vernon Fire Department. He then moved to Arizona, where at age 25, he started Angel MedFlight, a world-wide air ambulance service that flies patients in Lear Jets to medical treatment facilities. He is holding the Flame of Distinction Award, which was presented to him Saturday morning. His parents are Thomas and Elaine Freer. style=
