CENTERBURG — After 47 years as an educator and school administrator, Dorothy Holden, superintendent of the Centerburg Local School District, is retiring — again.

“I retired 10 years ago for 12 hours,” she said. “I tell everyone that I slept through my first retirement.”

Before assuming the reins as Centerburg superintendent seven years ago, Holden served as the high school principal. Before that, she was at East Knox High School. Holden was also a classroom teacher for 14 years before becoming an administrator, and served as junior high principal and assistant principal at Centerburg as well.
