Sheriff's office and Ohio BCI&I called to abandoned trailer in eastern Knox County

A body found in a septic tank behind an abandoned mobile home this afternoon may have been there as long as two years.

Lance Patterson and his wife, Jody, have been at home visiting relatives after his recent 7 1/2-month deployment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. He was aboard the Vinson when SEAL teams brought Osama Bin Laden’s body to the ship, but he and his buddies aboard found out about the successful raid from CNN.

A small fire of undetermined origin burned only a section of studding in the Bill Heaton warehouse in Howard, Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District firefighters pulled off sections of siding to get at the fire and extinguished it without other damage. College Township Fire Department brought an engine for mutual aid.
