A small fire of undetermined origin burned only a section of studding in the Bill Heaton warehouse in Howard, Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District firefighters pulled off sections of siding to get at the fire and extinguished it without other damage. The Parkside Restaurant 8 & Under “A” All-Star softball team claimed first place at the “Fastpitch at the Frew” softball tournament in Frazeysburg last weekend. The team once again went undefeated in the tournament with a 5-0 record, beating several other teams from the Knox County area.
