Initial work on the first phase of the connector road between Coshocton and Yauger roads is under way as a middle portion of the area is being excavated. Mount Vernon Safety-Service Director Dave Glass stated a retaining wall will be erected in this area to the east end of Lowe's. Much of the work in this section is being completed now in order to minimize closure time on the north and south ends later. Hull's Sportswear won the Kokosing Valley 16 & Under Girls Fastpitch regular season and tournament championships. The team went 10-0 in the regular season, and 4-1 in the tournament. Hull's only loss came at the hands of Genesis Heating & Cooling, but the team won both championship games on Sunday for the tournament title.
