The latest 350-foot-long gas turbine rig destined for an oil field in the Caspian Sea, built in Mount Vernon by Rolls-Royce for BP Oil, left Monday on the first leg of its journey to Azerbaijan. Here, it approaches the intersection with Ohio 715 (Walhonding Road) on U.S. 36 on its way to Interstate 77. It will be placed on a barge on the Ohio River and eventually shipped overseas. Bertling Logistics of Houston, Texas, is in charge of the move. Three Ohio State Highway Patrol cruisers preceded it to keep the highway clear and a bucket truck was used to lift low-hanging wires out of the way.
