UTICA — Three resolutions were approved when the Utica Village Council met in regular session Monday evening in council chambers. Prior to the evening’s business agenda, minutes from previous meetings were approved including passage of Resolution 11-019 in a special meeting Aug. 1 to place on the Nov. 8 ballot a levy in excess of the 10-mill limitation.

Council will ask voters to approve an 8-mill levy which was brought from the table at the July 11 meeting and will be an additional levy for three years for current operating expenses, including street lighting. Council will not seek renewal of the existing 1.7-mill levy.
