GAMBIER — An Ohio State Highway Patrol crash report states Bobby L. McCloy was driving too fast on Ohio 229 Monday when the Small’s Sand and Gravel cement truck he was driving rolled over. The cement truck then collided with a Knox County Highway Department truck driven by Damian M. Simon, 49, Mount Vernon.

Both men were trapped and transported by MedFlight to Columbus hospitals. Simon did not survive the injuries he sustatined from the crash.

McCloy was listed in fair condition this morning in the Ohio State University Medical Center.

The OSHP continues to investigate the accident.
