FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown Village Council on Monday approved a first reading of an ordinance authorizing the village administrator to seek state money to help with two local projects.

The authorization would enable Administrator Gary Gallogly to apply to the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and/or the Local Transportation Improvement programs for construction of the village’s storm water separation project and the construction of a new water line west of Ohio 13.

Gallogly told council he didn’t think any money would be forthcoming this year, but it was worth trying for money to help with future phases of the projects.
