  • Joseph Schreiber, 31, Mount Vernon, told Mount Vernon police the accelerator pedal stuck on his pickup truck before it crashed into this house at 4 Tilden Ave. on Monday afternoon. Police said Schreiber was northbound on Sandusky Street and the truck went out of control when he turned onto Tilden Avenue. He maneuvered the truck into the parking lot on the north side of the street, traveled 90 feet crossing the road taking out the corner of the unoccupied house. He was not injured but was charged with failure to control. style=
