MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Emergency Management Agency will continue to be housed at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on Upper Gilchrist Road. EMA Director Brian Hess said the plan to move the office to the county service center on East High Street hit a snag when they found out that moving the office would possibly put the county at risk of having to reimburse part of the federal money used to build the office/jail complex.
