UTICA — Personnel considerations were the focus of the special session the North Fork school board held on Friday.

Treasurer Jack McDonald told the News on Monday the board accepted letters of resignation from bus drivers Michele Sherer and Craig Sherer and from educational aide Trisha Ware. It approved the employment of Lori Fuller in the position of elementary teacher and recalled Connie Basista from the reduction in force to serve as a kindergarten teacher. McDonald said the recall is due to increased enrollment. Also recalled from the reduction in force were classroom aides Heather Parkinson and Colette Butts. Bus driver Jodi Shaw was awarded a continuing contract, David Short was hired as a custodian and Chassidy Faucett was added to the classified substitute list.

The next regular meeting of the North Fork Board of Education will be held at Newton Elementary School at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19.
